NON-LATIN PATENT DOCUMENTS

IAMIP has unveiled a new way to capture patents and analyse “Non-Latin” patent documents.
Your technology-driven teams should use third party patent application to avoid “reinventing the wheel” and to analyse what your closest competitors are currently developing. Additionally keeping track of such information is important in order to secure that no one is infringing on your rights.
But if your competitors are from countries that are using Non-Latin languages when filing new patents, you need to capture those information as well. Therefore, it is important to make sure that you create searches in the original but as well machine translated patents that enables you to not miss any important information.
The Non-Latin language feature has now been integrated to IamIP, allowing users to search Japanese, Chinese, Korean and Russian Abstract, Full-Text as well as Assignees and Inventors, in the original language. In addition, users can now also read any native language text that is contained in the patent. For all users, machine translation options are already available which allow the text to be translated instantly into many other languages.
“Our customers can now set-up more efficient patent monitorings in original language or English language. From now on they can as well execute more accurate prior art searches or FTO analysis in order to identify actionable insights in their daily business”, says Viktor Rudolf, Chief Product Officer at IAMIP.
By offering original indexed native languages, our customers can now mitigate the risk of losing important information about their competitors as well as ensure they do not miss out an important patent application in their patent monitoring processes.
